Greetings everyone!  I’m so glad to be part of this community, and to be given the opportunity to heal, mature, and return to the person that I’ve either been once long ago, or become the person I’ve been yearning to become all of these years!

Right now, I’m in a state of repair and renewal.  My lifelong relationship with Jesus Christ has given me strength and love, and although I have had several tragedies and setbacks that have caused me to doubt my life, and myself I need to put my priorities straight.  First of all, I love my God, my dear husband John, my sweet daughter, her husband and the rest of my family with all of my heart.  Jesus, I turn my life over to you fully, Jesus, I am placing myself fully into Your hands.  I can work on improving myself in any other worldly way with confidence and peace, once I know that I have FIRST put my priorities in place.  NOW!  Let’s get started with “Tools to Life!”

I’ve been privileged to have a loving childhood, surrounded by my Mom and caring Grandparents and have usually had an optimistic outlook on life.  I was happy, confident, and intended to help make the world a better place!  I married my childhood sweetheart, and we had the daughter of our dreams.  We were living the American dream.  As the years passed, I ultimately suffered a severe emotional injury at work and now upon joining this group I find I need much help in many areas – as will be more than evident to everyone as you all begin to know me.  Please forgive me my many trespasses, as I forgive yours as well.  I only have the most sincere and best intentions to care about and help people as I go through my life.

I’m so excited about the privilege to be re-energized and fully charged by this program and to receive Devlyn’s coaching and encouragement.  I need to be renewed; to get my brain into a new way of thinking!  In these past years, I’ve been in a deep valley of despair and sickness for too long, and even the very name “Tools to Life” program, holds a great promise of hope for me that there is a wonderful future out there!  How can I not succeed if I put my whole heart into this effort?

I must sincerely thank my friend Janet Legere for telling me about Devlyn Steele’s great impact on Janet as her life-coach.  I believe that I’m just beginning my journey toward self-discovery and healing, and I have Janet to thank for that.  Thank you, Janet.  I hope that I might be able to learn from Devlyn Steele and pass along this help to others in need, as caring for others and helping others is my greatest passion in life.  I strongly believe in “Someone Always There.”  Sincerely,  Danica Flyte

~~  There are no strangers – only friends we haven’t met yet ~~

I joined TOOLS because:
I joined Tools to Life because my friend, Janet Legere told me about this wonderful program, and she saw a need in me that this program could fill. After looking at the opportunities that it offers, I can see that it fits perfectly with all of the problems I have in my life. I can heal, build confidence, learn social skills once more, and re-enter the world with a renewed sense of life!
You are offered your dream job. What job is it?:
My dream job would be working at home, choosing my own hours so I could work around my husband’s business needs as well. It would HAVE to include my dear computer because that is my passion, and be centered on words, writing, typing, layout, and people. These are all talents that I have naturally, so it makes sense to have a job that uses your natural talents. I’d be very fortunate to be allowed to have my two basset hounds and two cats right there at my workplace, and could play my relaxing or invigorating music of my choice whenever I wanted, as I am the only person in the house! I have all the technology I need right at my fingertips, and love the fact that I can communicate world-wide with no more effort than if I were calling my next-door neighbor! My number one goal of my business is that it would have to help people, somehow. It would be providing a service to people, or perhaps be a consulting business, but I would also be very active in charitable works and community activities – giving back to my community and to those who are less fortunate than I. I’m actually about to try to implement such a thing and get off of Social Security Disability for the first time in 15 years, by going through a federally-approved program called “Ticket to Work”. I sure hope it works, it would be my dream job if it does… for the first time in 15 years!
My favorite wild animal is:
My favorite wild animal is the white-tailed deer.
Why (describe as much as possible):
My favorite wild animal is the white tailed deer because it is strong, graceful and beautiful. (It also tastes better than beef :P ) I have deer in my back yard every day, and they are very comforting to watch. They seem to enjoy watching ME just as much! It's strange how they seem to enjoy posing for my photographs...
My favorite domestic animal is (if you choose dog be specific with breed etc):
I have to choose TWO domestics! Dog breedis basset hound, because I have two of them... Maudelia Littledawg Chewmeister and LucyLou Slobberdawg Chewmeister. We lost Mazie Longdawg Chewmeister to spinal meningitis around seven years ago which is when we got Maude. We have to be a two-dog family. LucyLou is a rescue dog that we rescued from a home where she had been caged for the first six months of her life. She's a little strange sometimes, but very loving. Bassets are really mellow dogs. The OTHER domestic animal I have to have are my two cats, Lamberta and Leviticus, (Lambie and Levi for short). I raised them from when they were six hours old, and they don't know they are cats!
If a pilot would fly you anywhere you want, you would go to:
I would tell the pilot to fly to where my daughter and her husband are living. I miss them so much, and haven't seen them in person for a year and a half.
My perfect slice of pizza is:
I'm not very sophisticated... I love Pizza Hut's Personal Pan Taco Pizza with chicken with hand-tossed crust. It's just the right size, doesn't have too much meat on it and has a lot of crunch to it to satisfy my crunch needs, and I love the re-fried beans on the base! For REAL pizza, my cousin used to make home-made pizza from scratch, but those were days long ago. I'd be happy with a plain old Domino's pizza of any kind too!
You are at a bar. You order this drink:
Orange juice. I don't drink alcohol, and pop is too fizzy for my nose. IF I were at a bar, which is a pretty rare thing (must be a wedding!) I have no problem visiting with friends at the bar, however, as long as it isn't smokey! EEK! headaches!
You are at a coffee shop. What coffee or tea do you order:
I grew up learning to drink coffee with a LOT of cream and sugar in it, so I've never "grown up" and learned to drink it "black." I've TRIED, for calorie counting purposes, but I just can't do it! So, with Splenda and powdered milk, I've come to a happy medium at home... At a coffee shop, I don't know the names of anything, so I just ask for something COLD, flavored like chocolate or without chocolate, but with lots of cream! mmmmm! I drink watered-down decaf iced coffee at home besides copious amounts of water. My favorite drink.
