I was in a serious relationship that lasted 5 years and it took its toll on me when it ended.

She helped change my life. I use to just waste my days away and I finally met her. She made me appreciate life and I spent most of my time with her. She had different beliefs about how we should live our lives. She ended our relationship when I needed her the most. My life was changing dramatically, new promotion at work, I was attending a new university, the pressure and stress made me feel insecure. I was without the person that helped guide my life and made me feel not alone.

My depression took a downward spiral and my life became empty and hopeless. It was the typical heartbreak, but after time it became worse. I thought as time passed you were suppose to get better, with me, everyday became worse. Then she started seeing somebody else, I became devastated and started abusing myself mentally.Nothing seemed important anymore. I lost interest in everything that was important, family, friends, happiness. 

I have over the months regained my control of life and look forward to what I can do with myself.
