Day 8: Better days ahead

I feel as though there is hope.

Funny how simple yet strong a statement that is. I contacted someone who can help me sort out my student loans situation. This is huge. The debt caused me to give up on life, on EVER having anything (house, new car). I felt powerless to do anything about it. As a single parent, I could never make the minimum payment they wanted - $600. They would not accept a lower amount so I was up the creek. For years, I couldn't even open a bank account. So I'm working towards that.

I cleaned out a cupboard and found some stuff that I had bought for my mom that I had forgotten about. I'll be visiting her for Thanksgiving and don't see her often, so I wanted to get her something that she would like. Very cool. She has everything and like me, is amused/thankful for the smallest, oddest things. Jackpot.

I visited a college friend I hadn't seen in over a year. I missed her so much!

I just feel so much lighter for lack of a better word. There is hope!
