LaughingHello, My name is Donna. I am happiest helping others accomplish the goals in their lives. This is a good thing and a bad thing. It makes me feel wonderful helping others but it has also made it hard to accept help from others. Or even admit when I need help. So I hope to gain some self esteem so that accepting help or advice from others does not seem as intrusive.

If you were approached by a person with a very obvious and severe "physical" disability but you knew that they were "normal" in every other way would you talk to them?

 

 

If you were approached by a person with a very obvious "developmental" disability(retarded, down syndrom, autism etc.)  would you talk to them?

Because it only takes 1 second and a very horrible accident for ANY of us to become disabled

I absolutely would talk to them.  Many different feelings could arise from being in that situation but regardless of it, i keep in mind that we are all human beings and need eachothers love and acceptance.
