There's no better way to spark up a healthy, vibrant day than to alkalinize your body first thing in the morning. During sleep, our body spends 8 to 10 hours fasting and detoxifying, resulting in an acidic state of the body. This can often leave us feeling groggy and may make it hard to get going in the morning.
But instead of going for that simple cup of coffee and danish, try instead starting with a glass of purified water or your favorite cup of herbal tea. After that have some fruit and maybe for a real eye opener even juice up some veggies.
After about a week you'll find that you have endless amounts of energy lasting well through lunch, you won't miss the coffee anymore, and most of all you'll be more alert and won't crave sugars or starches at all.
