Conquer those holiday sweet cravings

Every person is unique when it comes to nutrition and the foods they crave. The best advice I can offer is to stick to the foods you know to be the healthiest, and most natural and eventually your cravings will subside. The problem is that most people replace one addictive substance for another (ie. coffee with diet coke for instance) and thus the underlying cause is never addressed. In other words, the body is still left in the craving state because of either nutrient deficiency or junk excess.

Whenever you're feeling the urge for sweets try a healthy alternative like fruit, or trail mix, or yogurt. Green tea makes an excellent coffee or soda pop subsitute as well. It'll take getting used to but you'll find that you don't get those energy drops during the day and your sleep will be better too!
