The ten commandments

I took a week off of TOOLS and it felt great - so guess what - I'm leaving TOOLS. Yup, that's right, you read me. What I'm looking for just isn't here. That's GREAT if this system / program works for other people, but it's just not for me. Everyone is 'programmed' differently and responds to different things. It's kind of like a diet - there's a variety out there cause there's a variety of people! What works for one person may not work for the next.

I'll still swing by from time to time and go through the blogs, check my email here, and maybe even check into the toolbox.

I think TOOLS focuses on too much routine and too many rules for me. Routine and rules are good and important, but they can also become a burden. This is the problem Jesus had with the Pharisees...but that's a whole different story.

Being a devout Christian, it bothers me how religious stories are used here but they're stripped of their essence. If you need a story to prove your point, surely you could find something outside of the bible. I have big sensitivity issues with some of the things being said about God and other things. Coach if you're reading this, I think it would be best if you took all religious terms and stories out of this program. I'm sure you can find secular stories to prove your point, and you won't even have to mention God, the bible, and won't have to worry about the sensitivity of the religious people on TOOLS.  In fact, if you're willing to do this - and I know it takes a lot of work, I'd even be willing to help you out.

One of my personal Ten Commandments is that I can not be a part of something which degrades my living God - saying whether or not God is real doesn't matter is a big problem for me, because whether or not God is real DOES matter. You know the gospel, you know it's message. If God IS real (and I believe he is) than those who don't believe in him do face a BIG problem.

Anyways, my point is simply that you shouldn't mix religious story in secular pop culture - it just doesn't work. At least - not for those of us who actually know our bible and are trying to live our lives by it.
