Oops!

Never got around to recording my motivational tape yesterday, but that's okay. I want to take my time on it and make it something really good and rich. Something that I'll want to listen too. I even found some cool background music for it too. Yay!

Today's lesson was good. It's a reminder that there is no quick fix. I think this is a good lesson for my generation but its also a hard one to get into our heads. I am part of the 'me' generation, and in the 'me' generation, we've learned that it's all about 'me' and having things now. Welcome to the kids of low impulse control and instant gratification. Eek! It even makes me shiver!

I wonder why parents don't take the time to teach their kids the value of character and hard work. And why aren't there a lot of good role models for us out there in the radio and TV industry. It really is kind of sad. It's no wonder we're so disconnected. We're told that we can be anything we want, that we can have it now, and when we believe this, and put it to the test, we fail over and over again, feeling inadequate, ashamed and disgruntled. Oy.

Well, I'm so happy for things like Tools, and people like John Maxwell, Dr Phil, and others who teach the art of living. The importance of building character, the value of hard work and the necessity of being aware of our thoughts.

Oh, how life would have been so different for us had we known these things growing up!

:)

I admire how you manage to turn away from pointing out the problems of the "me" generation (well put by the way) and talk about what you are grateful for. That's the spirit! :)

WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF E/SNUGGLES!

Hi there, Snuggle!

Such a good spirit-boosting speech.  Loved it!  Isn't life rich?  Glad you are marvelling on its goodness.  We really become what we think.  Positive thoughts, positive outcome.  Keep on learning.... and preaching.  Enjoy your thought-processing and have a great day!

Cheers,

Autumn MistKiss

I hear you I hear you, and I do listen.
