I joined TOOLS because:
I've participated in on-line coaching before, but didn't make as much progress as I wanted to. I like the way TOOLS lets you set your own pace, uses video, audio, written and visual tools to reinforce daily lessons, and then lets you blog about about what you've just learned. Plus, it's helpful to read others' blogs and see that we are all working through this together.
You are offered your dream job. What job is it?:
A consultant and a children's writer: For part of my dream job, I am highly paid for my knowledge, contacts, and skills at keeping people and meaningful, innovative projects moving forward. The second part of my dream job is that I am a creative and successful writer of children's books.
My favorite wild animal is:
All the wild animals that come through our yard. Especially the roadrunners: quirky, serious, intense listeners, yet very funny birds. Love the coyotes and shy bobcats too.
Why (describe as much as possible):
Living in an urban environment, it is a treasure to still see the wild go through your yard. It is magical to watch quail, roadrunners, the coyotes and other desert animals adapt to our walls, yards, and still manage to thrive. It makes for a much more interesting and diverse neighborhood.
My favorite domestic animal is (if you choose dog be specific with breed etc):
 Horse
Why:
I don't quite have the fearlessness of being with a horse that I did as a kid. In fact, getting a horse as an adult is not like riding a bicycle, it's like starting over with a unicycle. I love how patient my horse is and how we've bonded. He lets me try fun Parelli exercises with him and seems to know that I am a cautious trail rider, not a Wild Horse Annie type at all. I love how horses are somewhat domesticated, but still retain the wild side too, snorting, running and bucking just cause it feels good.
A famous Chef will prepare anything you want. What do you order:
Grilled wild salmon, a fabulous salad, and a small side of pasta tossed with asiago parmesan or other fromage. And a scrumptious, super chocolate dessert that makes you almost faint it's so good.
Why:
Grilled salmon is excellent and I love a fresh salad. But ya gotta have chocolate and dessert too to make it delectable.
Five people either dead or alive you would have at your fantasy dinner party::
Jean Houston, Oprah, my grandmother (deceased),Benazir Bhutto, my mom, my daughter. I know this is six people, but it's my party!
If a pilot would fly you anywhere you want, you would go to:
Terceira island, Azores. I spent nearly five years there as a child and still think of it as a magical, troubling, happy and unhappy place. Fabulous cliffs, much poverty, great place for imaginations to soar. The old Portuguese cart horse I had was my best friend.
My perfect slice of pizza is:
 Thin crust, pizza Margherita.
You are at a bar. You order this drink:
A fizzy glass of water with a slice of lemon. I don't care that much for bars.
You are at a coffee shop. What coffee or tea do you order:
A mocha latte, of course. A mint/Green tea mix (hot) or a plain ole iced tea (but not the sugary kind).
If a genie could grant you three wishes they would be (separate by commas):
a perfect energy-efficient and water efficient "green" house made for kids, pets and parents with an attached barn, arena and nearby riding trails, money for exciting trips each year, housekeeper and personal trainer
If I could do anything for my neighborhood today, it would be:
Get the trails locked into place. As development edges closer, getting these trails in place lets us all connect: new neighbors, old neighbors, equestrians, dog walkers. It gives us all a sense of community and connection to each other.
