Integrity I define integrity as how what you say VS what you do line up. A person of high integrity will live according to what they know is right and true. The saying "My word is my bond" comes to mind. Structural Integrity equates as to how sound or how much load a structure can take before failing. Following this approach the strength of a persons integrity is how much it takes before this integrity fails.
I have learned by example (mostly examples of integrity breakdown, alot of it my own) from reading. Interactions with people that seemed to have integrity then lost all seeming intergrity as they compromised over relationships, money or substances. To go further my Dad taught me to have integrity when it came to money and work ethic and physically I had integrity. I did not however put in as much effort or inciteful thought into learning as much as I could. My Grandparents were repected and people of integrity. Mom taught me about integrity when it came to love and matters of the heart.
What I have learned over my faltering integrity, and from it is that having once had it in abundance and even having it acknowledged on a regular basis is that it can be lost. I would say it is really a hard thing to get back. I do have a broader and enriched perspective and starting with myself and my integrity of what I am thinking and the actions or appropriate inactions that I am taking or not taking I will build on that.
You should listen to me perhaps on a trial basis only LOL If I can provide or share no joy or deeper meaning, if my net affect is negative. If there is a severe drought in smiles then you should not listen =)

I think of it like this...How do you know if a stick of wood is crooked? You hold it up to a straight stick of wood. I know I am upright and have intregity when I stay with my values and beliefs. I get my values and beliefs from the Creator of my life God. I have a Spirit that is my moral compass. When my integrity falterers I ask for forgivness, repent ( turn away from) what I have done. Then I move on with life.
To answer your question: Why should I listen to you? I am just a human but I get my ideas from God through the Bible and the examples in it of Perfect Salvation and a solution to sin.
