My question is for all of us including myself. Have we given much thought to the Friends that we have and that we are gaining, lately ?
I have asked myself what is Real Friendship, and I have come up with different definitions. Have you taking time to reflect and ask yourself lately ? What is your definition ?
Red fox once said that someone asked him to tell them about the good old days. His response was that they are gone. It was meant to be funny, but sadly there is a lot of truth to what Red said.
Remember, back to an earlier time when we had our circle of friends, and what that meant to us, and how it made us feel. As the days passed, each one of us began making choices. Where we would live, who we fell in Love with, what type of job, or career we would accept. Gradually, we began to drift apart. How many real Friends have we had that we have lost contact with ?
It is not that often that we get another chance at things in this life. Among all that we receive here at Tools To Life, another benefit is the opportunity to get to know other people, and to develop our own circle of Friends. As we do, we should keep in mind that these friendships are gifts and privileges, not to be taking lightly, or for granted. We should continuously be mindful, of how Blessed and fortunate that we are to share this precious gift Friendship. When is the last time you picked up the phone and called someone you consider a Friend just to say Hello ? When was the last time that you sent them an email, or even better a personal handwritten letter ?
None of us know when our lives will end. So lets take each and every minute and do the best we can, and put forth all the effort that we can to show our Love and Appreciation for those we call our Friends.
