List of reasons I'm excited about being a non-smoker

I'm so excited about not smoking anymore because:

  •  I glad that my grandma will know i quit before she dies.  I know she will be proud of me.  As an emphysema patient she has always strongly encouraged I quit, and I really do feel good about being able to do it now while she's here to see it.
  • Not to smell like smoke and not to have to worry about mouthwashing after every smoke break at work.
  • I'm excited to prove to loved ones (like my boyfriend, see story above) who have spoken harshly to me about smoking, and in fact sometimes even called me flat out weak willed and not as strong of a person as a non smoker because I keep engaging in the bad habit.  I'm so excited to prove to these people that I can quit.
  • Excited to know that my lungs are going to be healing, and I'm also excited to stop wheezing and even the occasional smokers cough.  Yeaaaah!
  • Excited not to have to go freeze my ass off in cold bad weather just to have a cigarette.
  • Excited to be saving moolah
  • Excited not to have the huge hanging looming 'I have quit smoking and quit hurting my body'  waiting like a dark cloud that rained on me every time I lit up.  I knew it was bad.  I wanted to quit for a long time... and it flat out made me feel bad about myself in some ways because I knew I was doing something destructive.  What a relief!

Decided this was probably a better place for this.  I've got to remember to add to this when I'm having cravings!
