Slowing down

It's been awhile since I've made time to blog or read and comment on blogs.  I've been so busy living life, and our computer has been kind of cantankerous.

I've been slowing down about doing my Tools days one day at a time.  As I'm going along, I find that I'm fine with taking it a bit easier, and spending more time on my Tools assignments.  Coach Steele mentions in one of the recent days that he squeezed 150 days worth of work into 90.  Life isn't a race or a competition.  Doing it right is better than doing it fast.

I was reflecting this morning on how much better life is since I began Tools.  I can only imagine how much better it would be if I were doing absolutely everything I've been taught here, consistently and perfectly, but  I am totally human and have been only able to do the best I can, which is pretty good, but not perfect.  And I am really happy with how far I've come in the 70 days since I started.  Clearly, putting these lessons to work can take a lifetime, so if I don't get it 100% right in 90 days, I can keep working it the rest of my life, right?

So, how has my life changed?  I am now working in a fabulously challenging and abundantly paying job.  I am generally more patient with my son and husband.  My temper has been evening out.  I am eating more healthily.  I am exercising more.  I have been sleeping well.  I have been decluttering my home.  I have about ten boxes packed and ready to go to a thrift shop.  I am paying my bills on time.  I have a more loving relationship with my husband.  I feel optimistic about my health and my future.

Not bad, considering that when I started, I was afraid I was on the brink of financial disaster, I couldn't fall asleep or stay asleep, I wasn't exercising, my house was a mess, my temper was inflamed so easily, and I felt so disorganized and scared.  Today, I feel good about life and myself.  That's an enormous blessing.  I am so grateful that I found this site and so grateful to Coach Steele for making it available FOR FREE!!! What an amazing gift.
