Reflection

So, since I joined Tools in 2007 I've made some good progress.  I'm down about 20 pounds since I let go of white flour and sugar.  I lose my temper much less often - except when I indulge in white flour and sugar!  My home, while still not in the shape I want it to be, is getting there - new sofa and love-seat, more orderly, a bit less cluttered.  I'm in a good job where I can be of service and it has great benefits.

Still, I've got a ways to go.  I still deal with slippery moods, which I attribute to being a survivor with PTSD - 9/11, cancer, and having a son and husband, who are also survivors of life-threatening illnesses... We are still digging out of financial difficulties brought on by husband's unemployment after 9/11 and all the havoc our illnesses wrought.

So, my goals for this year's "revolution" are:

Grow financially - in dollars and wisdom

Continue decluttering and making a home I love coming home to.

Strike a better balance between work and home.

Develop my spiritual practice more, so I am better able to deal with stress without slipping into depression or anxiety.

Get more involved in volunteerism or service.

Exercise regularly, besides the mile or so I walk M-F to get to and from trains to work.

Be more vigilant about taking supplements and getting to all my various doctor appointments.

Take better care of my skin - sunscreen, etc.

So, vision for my life:

I take excellent physical, emotional, financial, and spiritual care of myself.

I am a contributing member of society.

I am a loving and beloved wife, daughter, mother, sister, friend, employee, supervisor, and teacher.

I am a wise woman who holds myself with dignity, grace, and humor.

I live in a comfortable, cozy, uncluttered gracious home.

I feel at peace even in the face of life's travails and challenges.

I am confident I can handle and follow through on whatever responsibilities I have, home and work.

I use my time, space, money, gifts and talents wisely.

I let go of anger, fear, worry, stress, resentments, guilt, painful memories with grace.

I welcome love, affection, kindness, generosity and blessings in my life.

I aspire not to greatness but to goodness.

I accept my limitations and others'.

I am grateful for what I have.

I have everything I need.

I live life on life's terms.
