Anxiety, eating, exercising, energy,

My motivation level is so low. I'm having a hard time sticking to my exercising routine. I am walking which is good. I have a pet sitting job which helps me with that. I am also so tired all the time. I'm working on my anxiety and this gets frustrating. Just dealing with it for too many years. I also would like to accomplish many things and seem to feel stuck. I am also still dealing with binging every week.Would like to hear from other who can offer advice or be supportive.

Just do it!!

As far as the exercise goes, JUST DO IT!!  Get up, put on your exercise gear and go do it, you WILL feel better when you are done 100% of the time!!  If you skip an exercise day, you will end up being mad at yourself and depressed and saying "Man, I should have...".  DONT LET THAT HAPPEN!!  When you exercise and sweat you release endorphins which are the chemical that give you a natural high, which in turn makes you happy and excited!!  I have told MANY MANY people this same exact thing!!  You are NOT alone here!!  Even if you are "tired", which could be actual physical exhaustion or an emotional state making you THINK that you have no energy, JUST GET UP AND DO IT!!  FORCE yourself to do it, you WILL NOT regret it!!

As far as the binging goes, it does you no good.  You overeat and in turn you feel like crap, you say to yourself "Why did I do that??!!".  You know it is wrong so dont do it!  You are in control of your life, no one else. Pretty soon you get some great tools for actions like this like the "Reverse Tool".

Stick to the TOOLS program and you will nip these bad habits in the bud!!  You can do it!!!

I'm here to help I'm here to help

thanks

Thank you both for your support and your great advice. I am a good listener as well, if you need support from me I am here. Just ask away.

Keep Going!

Routine means consistent effort. We can't accomplish many things unless we make effort. Getting outside is good. Forbish is right. We have to just do it! Otherwise, we are making excuses and getting nowhere.  I suggest you try to be aware of the times you do feel good or energetic. What makes the difference? Can you capitalize on making the positive outcomes routine? We all have our don't-feel-like-doing-anything moments. Being in Tools, we take responsibility for our actions or inaction.  It is our choice to change. Effort is the motivation! What are some small steps you could take? Praise yourself for any small accomplishments and then take another step. I'm glad you are walking and dealing with your anxiety. Two steps in the right direction.

Re Keep Going

Thanks paper queen. What you said made a lot of sense. Glad to see you're still on here.
