I've lost 18 pounds EATING! :)

I am amazed that I am losing weight! I am eating! Plenty! Not counting anything! Just eating ORGANIC! I made a decision at the beginning of the year that I was going to take the white stuff out of my diet again--meaning white sugar, white flour, white potatoes, and white rice. I had done it before (as a result of being told that those items were not well tolerated by people who are diagnosed with Fibromyalgia) but had fallen off the wagon and started eating everything I knew wasn&;#39;t good for me. So I decided to DENY myself again for the sake of feeling better. But then it seems God had a better plan. I was introduced to some organic skin care and learned some things about what chemicals were doing to me--Aspertame for one, which was my substitute for sugar, so I stated just eating food with the ORGANIC USDA seal on it. I decided not to worry if it was white---although the certified organic seal doesn&;#39;t go on enriched flour and white rice etc. so I am still not doing much white--except sugar-it&;#39;s kinda white and then I&;#39;m not doing much of it...and I have white potatoes now and then...but not often. But I think the deal is that I am getting good nutrients from the fruits and vegetables I am eating and I&;#39;m not craving food all the time or binging on junk food. My body is getting properly nurished.  And I am feeling great!! I think the PROBIOTIC I am taking is helping with that as well. Maybe I'll talk about that another time.

Yesterday I walked on my treadmill for the first time in a year! This TOOLBOX is making a big difference in our lives!  We needed it and we, the LightKnight and I, are really noticing a change in several areas of our lives! We are having a great time doing it together!

Well, I guess that is all for now.

May God Himself make you whole~spirit, soul, and body!

Peace!

What Does Organic Really Mean?

by Sue Gilbert, M.S., Nutritionist (iVillage)

Most people understand the simple definition of organic -- food that&;#39;s grown without the use of synthetic fertilizers and pesticides. But it is much more than that.

Farmers who use organic growing methods and people who buy organic foods are committed to long-term stewardship of the land and a vision of humans being in ecological harmony with nature.

Their mission is to ensure sustainability of the air, soil and water, and to maintain the health of people, plants and animals.
