Losing weight and quitting smoking may seem hard, but by doing those two things you're really going to make a positive impact on your life. You're giving up short term gratification for long term benefits. You will feel better, be healthier and save money!
Whenever you start to eat junk food or reach for a cigarette, stop for a second and ask yourself if you should be doing this. More than likely, your answer will be "No!" Listen to yourself--you know what is best for you.
Happy New Year! You can do it.

How do I know? Because I did, and that means anybody can!
I started Tools 3 months ago. I have not had a cigarette since just before then, and I have lost about 5 lb as well. Not a huge loss, but a loss nevertheless, and enough for me to know who's in charge here
The boost to my confidence and self-esteem is indescribable. It is also becoming clear that many of my other problems in life are linked to my sense of self-control, as these have fallen away as well - another great bonus.
Good luck - I'll be watching out to see how you are going!
Remember the hair-colour slogan: Because I'm worth it!

Thanks for the support every one!! So far, so good. Last year i lost 30 pounds with Weight Watchers. I still have about that to go yet, but decided to tackle the smoking first, then move on to the next 30. I am grateful for the WW tools and way of thinking about meals and food, which is helping now tremendously!!
I got to thinking about this promise i made to myself, and how it relates to the promises i keep to others, and how I try to make sure i keep them. sigh... now i have to deliver the same committment to myself as i feel i must for others. :)
Thank you brad! fortunatly im not a junk foodie, i love healthy stuff.
Hay Rabbit, how are you doing?? Huggs! its so much fun to go shopping for a new size.
Hi Minerva, thanks and yes i do know the haircolor slogan! lol, im a hairstylist.
so far no cigs, two weeks, yea tough moments but if i use that as a crutch, i will use any old thing for a crutch.
three pounds up, but today i felt a lot less, my strategy is LOTS AND LOTS of water, and keeping meals real, and no snacking, plan my meals like usual, and try to keep them down to portion control.
