That about sums me up for now.

Thank you so much, everyone, for your insights and advice. It helped tremendously. The situation is now rectified, however I am leaving this ask viewable in case it may help someone else going through a similar rought patch. :)

When my partner and I moved to Ohio back in September, due to various pending payments coming out of my checking account at one bank (which has no branches in Cincinnati) we opted to leave that account open.

In the meantime, I also have an investment account with another bank - also without any branches in Ohio.

We arranged for the bank the investment account is with to have direct deposit access to the checking account, just in case of any contingencies because we knew we couldn't just drive up the street to make a deposit.

We've had repeated trouble when we've tried to use the direct deposit since we've moved, but ultimately, it's always gone through eventually. This time, though, we're on a week later, and it still hasn't gone through. We expected the money to arrive in the checking account last Tuesday. As of Thursday, the account was overdrawn due to pending payments that went through. Had the money come through when we expected it, there would have been no problems. Had the money come through the next day, after I'd spoken with my financial advisor and he told me it would, it would not have been a problem.

Come Friday, he tells me that on someone's end (I'm very unclear as to who's) it had been refused. So he pushed the funds through Friday and told me I should be able to see them that afternoon. I didn't.

I gave it the benefit of the doubt, because it was Friday after all, and even still, because it was a holiday weekend. But even so - it should have hit my account first thing this morning if it had been sent to the account Friday afternoon. It's not in there. I got on the phone with the bank my checking account is with, and they told me it's not even pending.

Meanwhile, when I've spoken to my investment advisor, he's told me that the money is showing as withdrawn from my holding account and transferred to the other bank.

Where do I go from here? I feel very much like this is out of my hands, but it's my money, and it should be very much within my control. I've called to speak with the manager at the investment bank, and am awaiting a call back. I'm frustrated, frazzled, and on day 3... trying very hard to figure out how to turn this into an opportunity. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

This is a tough situation, but I have some insight that may help you.

Energy is attracted to energy of a similar frequency. If you are feeling the anger and frustration of not having the money, the more it will stay away. If you get into the happy positive feelings as if you already have the money, the universe will work itself out and you will receive that which you desire. Trust in your power to pull into your life anything you want.  It may sound difficult at first, but believe me it has worked for me and so many others in this world. It is the law of attraction.

Just feel the good feelings and your money will come to you...that's what I do. Wink

What is your answer?

I joined TOOLS because:
My partner (Kimmiekins) invited me to join. I took a looksee around, and as I've been wanting to make some changes, figured this was as good of a place to start as any. Can't hurt, right? ;)
You are offered your dream job. What job is it?:
A lead role in a new Broadway musical that just so happens to become the newest sensation, with a contract that gives me enough flexibility to have two days in a row off a week, to spend time with my family and friends.
My perfect slice of pizza is:
Thin crust, with enough tomato sauce that it's still saucy but not so much that it falls apart. It would have mushrooms, onions, banana peppers, and black olives on it. If I'm in the mood though, I may do away with the black olives and add spinach, fresh tomatoes, and green olives to it as well.
You are at a bar. You order this drink:
A Bloody Mary, Pina Colada, or Long Island Iced Tea. OR Bacardi Limon on the rocks. Which makes me sound positively like a lush, but the last time I was at a bar was over a year ago, so. :P
You are at a coffee shop. What coffee or tea do you order:
 Skim chai latte.
You are going on a long road trip and you can only bring three CD's. Which ones do you bring (separate by commas):
Our "road trip" mix, "Sexy Chicks" mix, and a Broadway Musical if I'm going alone, or something country if I'm not.
