I'm looking for some path that can break me of a miserable, yet still fixable, cycle.

Being an only child, my family was always very close. About 6 years ago, my father had a brain hemorrhage that almost cost him his life. It took him many year for him to recover and physically has made a great return. His memory was never the same, so my mom was the brains of the operation and he was the brawn.

As dad recovered, mom's health began to decline. She suffered from cancer in the 70's and beat that, she battled diabetes and a debilitating knee and hip injury through out her life. Dad took care of her until she passed away last November.

Moving from almost losing one parent to watching him come back to losing the other was heartbreaking for me. I tried to not let it affect me and struggled through the better part of the winter and spring. Everyone mentioned to make sure I took care of my dad, but i think I mostly forgot about myself.

My mom kept her faith right until the end of her life, but since she died, I have had trouble bringing myself to understand why someone struggles her whole life through cancer and diabetes to end up losing her life when really her and man dad should have been celebrating retirement. I have never felt she deserved to leap over the hurdles she did in life, being she was the sweetest lady I has ever known.

So between questioning my faith, which until now was fairly solid, my ballooning weight problem and trying desperately to find something to hip check me back on the right track, I have found my way here.

Everything isn't black clouds and doom though. I have a good, stable job, some close friends and I want to change, just have to figure out how to get started.

My Personal Assessment is not public.

I joined TOOLS because:
I don't want to feel like this... I don't want to look like I do... I'm tired of feeling shitty, for lack of a better term, and hopefully this can help me on my way to being a better person.
You are offered your dream job. What job is it?:
Pro-wrestling... either managing, promoting, owning or even wrestling.
My favorite wild animal is:
 Wolf
Why (describe as much as possible):
Solitary, private, can defend itself if it needs to, but would be happier being left alone and live it's own life without hassle.
My favorite domestic animal is (if you choose dog be specific with breed etc):
 cat
Why:
I grew up with cats around and always got along fine with them, even when they are moody and ignore you. :)
A famous Chef will prepare anything you want. What do you order:
 Veal Parmesan
Why:
It is just the best food ever...
Five people either dead or alive you would have at your fantasy dinner party::
Gandhi, Mother Theresa, The Dali Lama, Pope John Paul II and Gilbert Godfrey.
Why:
The first four people may be able to offer me insight on life... Gilbert I want there cause he is just awesome...
If a pilot would fly you anywhere you want, you would go to:
 Ireland
My perfect slice of pizza is:
Bacon, cheese, ground beef, extra tomato sauce
You are at a bar. You order this drink:
Crown royal and diet coke/ginger ale.
You are at a coffee shop. What coffee or tea do you order:
Just a regular cup of black coffee... If it is too strong, a little cream to tone it down.
If a genie could grant you three wishes they would be (separate by commas):
$500,000, To find my true love and to truly be nice to the people that get on my nerves (patience)
You are going on a long road trip and you can only bring three CD's. Which ones do you bring (separate by commas):
Sam Cooke's Greatest Hits, Iron maiden- Powerslave and Loreena McKennit (any one of her CD's, I would blindly pick one)
If I could do anything for my neighborhood today, it would be:
Rid the neighborhood of my neighbor's yapping dogs... All 6 of them.
A sunset I remember:
I can honestly say I don't have any memorable sunsets in my memory banks.
Any character I could be from a movie, TV show or book would be:
 Tony Soprano
Why:
How could anyone not want to be Tony, even for a little while. =)
