Books:

harry potter series, chronicles of narnia, altered history, fantasy and some science fiction. i am learning to like comics again.

my bed in my house. any place where love and laughter are present...be it with family or friends. my mom's kitchen. my computer room.

cool things in america, other countries like ireland, spain, england, italy, greece, waterfalls, castles, other human beings

Hobbies:

internetting, watching movies and documentaries, reading, writing, jewelry making, painting, thinking, daydreaming and fantasizing.

edumacatin' and counseling. wanting to go back to school to get better at what i do. get a PhD? i am applying to a program but still thinking of what i really want. slowly getting settled into my house and life with my bf and our brood of animal children.

cartoon network, discovery channel, history channel we don't have cable anymore and watch most of our tv online and on netflix. i love that i can watch national geo or history docs anytime i want.

my kids. and a great personal trainer that will take me under his or her wing and work out with me for free. LOL

let's practice being social together...

I was tagged.
My friend Lisa (on myspace), that i met once thru my other BFF since 3rd grade Kris, blogged her list and because she is so way cool (and tagged me so i almost have to) i thought...i can do that and be just as cool. sadly...i fear that i may not be and this may turn into an awful list. so...

"Once you've been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, goals, etc., about you." I included alot of spanish so feel free to ask if you don't understand something...Lisa said you were supposed to tag like 25 other people but...
1. I am lazy.
so i just don't feel like doing it. if you are so inclined to do your own list, let me know as i like shar-a-blogs. so...BEHOLD...the rest of my list.

2. i can sing...and i mean sing like trained and with a big fat mariachi lola beltran voice. but not that that good...but if i practiced more...maybe i would be confident to take people up on the recording offers instead of blushing and shaking my head. maybe i wouldn't be afraid to audition for the mastersingers...or a musical.

3. my closet is split by color...like a rainbow greeting me every time i open it. aww.

4. i wish i spoke better spanish...professional spanish...and that hot latin woman spanish from the novelas...with the flowing hair and flaring nostrils.

5. i want to be a licensed counselor or a life coach or both. but i need to coach myself first. :)

6. when you get me laughing...and i mean really laughing...some of my friends have witnessed my transformation into muttley. if you don't know who that is or what that means then you missed the bed pan, yo.

7. i have weird bouts of deja vu at the weirdest times...i dream things.

8. i won 1st runner up in a grito contest when i was a sophomore in college back in the day here at the lake when we still had Spring Jam during Fiesta.

9. i am afraid of phd programs...i don't know why...i think it refers back to #1

10. the best year of my professional life so far was 2007...i bought big girl suits and luggage and got to present at a conference and went to an international conference in hawaii. i want to go back...and i will!

11. i use my toes to pick up alot of things. they are quite the useful appendages, aren't they? don't look at me like you have never done it, home pickles, cuz i KNOW you have.

12. that being said...i am terrible about my toenails with the cleaning and the painting and the cutting and the upkeep. my tonails currently have the paintjob of a 50 year old soufside house.

13. if i am reading something and i am super into it...i will not hear you if you are talking to me.

14. i have one year left to let my hair grow...then i chop it and donate it. for those of you that may not know my mother is a breast cancer survivor and is on her 4th year of remission since her mastectomy come february...go mom! so like a good mexican catholic girl i made a religious promise (a promesa) to grow my hair and donate it come her 5th year of remission. somehow that is supposed to convince god to keep her healthy. hey, i don't write it...i just do it!

15. i have a psychic that i visit every couple of years...she is awesome.

16. i have a fascination with astrology, the craft, and other new age hippie crap but still do good mexican catholic girl things...haha.

17. i was a really bad dresser for awhile in high school with big hair.

18. i am addicted to what not to wear. i had it on dvr...any day any time...that is alot of clinton and stacey. i tore myself away from this force of nature a few months ago. last week...i got sucked into a marathon and hit the record series button...first run only this time, please.

19. i am the grand duchess of unfinished projects...and the queen of unstarted ones...please see #1.

20. i sing along to elevator music. and the music at the heb. and sonic radio and sometimes my boyfriend and i bust out into random song. it's pretty cool.

21. i am teaching myself to cook...i am getting pretty good at it.

22. i could eat taco bell every day. i know. i know. for reference please see the ever expanding universe that is my butt.

23. i wear the same earrings, necklace and bracelet every day.

24. i love too much.

25. i am good at what i do and i truly am passionate about working with students and helping them become whomever it is that they are going to be.
