Making time to get things done

i cleaned my yard for the first time since i moved into my house.

my grass needs to get cut and i have someone coming to do it this week.

but...i went outside on saturday and spent nearly 4 hours raking and pulling weeds up. my lawn isn't a jungle...but it needs some work.

i worked muscles that haven't been worked in a long time...i worked out some anger and aggression...i worked out basically...mentally and physically.

i was tired and sore but felt sooo accomplished!

and...my thoughts were nowhere near the 'i hate this' 'this sux' 'ugh i need to hire a gardener' type thoughts i would normally have...

i actually thought...oooo if i do this every weekend i will have phenomenal arms by the end of summer...

haha!

changes...

slowly but surely...changes.

says: I have to confess, I have not done any gardening type work in about 4 years, since we moved back from Idaho.  this year, I am looking around at things that need to be raked up, maybe plant a few items. I have not done anything but at least my brain is working.  I am very proud of you for making that step.  It must have been nice to be outside.  Keep going, don't give up.  Maybe someday we can plant a garden together.
