Let's Start Again . . .

Are you a doubting Thomas like me?

Do you ever wonder if all these exercises, readings, videos, coaches tips and inpsirations are making any difference?  Does it seem like nothing is changing?

I didn't think so but let me tell you my story.

I did TOOLS for 69 days and then quit.  And I mean "quit."  I wouldn't even look at the website.  I still received the inspirations in my regular E-mail and I continued to read those, but that was the extent of it.  One day, when I wasn't expecting it, one of those inspirations hit me between the eyes.  What I never realized in those first 69 days was that TOOLS was getting the soil prepared and planting the seeds.

I had made the comment to someone who had invited me to be a friend on TOOLS  that I loved to write.  I had never voiced that before, especially not to myself.  The truth of that statement sunk in the next day and it scared me so badly that I ran for cover.  Now that the "cat was out of the bag" I had to look at it.  But I chose to run instead and quit doing TOOLS because if I continued to do TOOLS I would have to face the music and even more scary, I would have to make changes in my life.

But here comes this inspiration by Kimberely "wordbird" Bate on being a writer.  And I couldn't ignore the inner voice any longer.  Earlier that day I had finally decided to pluck up the courage to quit my seamstress job that I had worked at for 30 years and look into going back to school.  (All of this had been silently working on me in the 4 months since I had looked at TOOLS even though I thought nothing had happened or changed while I was working the program!)

I still hadn't decided what I wanted to go back to school for but when I read her inspiration, I knew.  I am going to pursue writing.  I don't know where all this is going to lead but I am back on TOOLS and I am going to finish the program.

This has shown me that it is never too late to pick up where I have left off.  Sometimes I just have to take a break and let things digest for a while.

KUDOS to Coach, to all of the "inspirers" and to all of you who are working the program and who have the courage to keep going and "face the music" to make changes in your lives.

GO TEAM!Laughing
