Day 19 Holidays and The Blues

During the holidays I do get somewhat depressed just because I am not doing what I want during that time. I want to be more giving. I have this dream of going around and just living bags of money for people that I know that are in need financially and I know that some extra cash would make a big difference in some people lives. Every year I say that is what I want to do and never do it so I really get down on myself. I love seeing the smile on someone face when someone does something unexpected for them. I just want to be that gift giving all throughout the years doing things financially for people unexpected. I want to be able to earn the kind of money that requires me to be able to do this. I need to stay away from procrastination and take the action that is needed to get the results that I want. Madgie Avery

Time is as good as money

Madgie, I admire your giving spirit but feel it may be a little misdirected.  Waiting till you are rich to give back may take a very long time to realize.  I would think that you will get the same feelings of joy by donating yourself to any local project.

ps-I was a little low during New Years myself, drug up some hard memories.  Hope your spirits are lifted by now.

Time is as good as money

Better Me you are so right and that is what I have always given is my time volunteering has been so much a part of my life and I would not trade that part of it for nothing in the world and you are so right and I think about that a lot. I always have time to give.  If any body needed me to do something I was always there and I always look for ways to increase what was already put into place. Thanks for reminding me of that.
