The Professor Question

I don't think social ineptitude is so bad.  Two of my closest friends and mentors are professors.  They do take a while to warm up, but we have a lot of fun together and they are as curious as I am.  I'm not saying professors are powerful, but I find them intriguing.

Power came up, because in looking over my past boyfriends, they were all big shots in their respective fields.  My last boyfriend was head of a famous venture capital firm and the one before that was/is a big non-profit corporate attorney.  My classmate thought that this may mean I was into being submissive in my relationships.  She has a degree in psychology and a masters in education with ph.d in sociology.  She analyzes people for a living.

As powerful as these men were in their professional lives, they were not too powerful on the personal level.  Their identities were tied up in what they did and not who they were.  I found them to be hypacritical and soul less.

To me that is not true power.

I still want a professor for a mate:)
