My name is Mark and I'm 37 years old. I live in Kelowna British Columbia and Love living close to the very beautiful mountains of BC. I'm adventuous and love the outdoors. I love camping in the summer time and enjoying the water, its a great past time for me as well as treaking. In the winter I love to play hockey and go Ski Dooing and Skiing with family and friends.

 I'm here to learn and seek encouragement! I've lived in several different cities over the years and never been able to really call a place home. Part of it was merely running from myself and other reasons were for very good empoyment opportunities. Many of my reationships suffered from this hence being singe once again.I've stuggled to overcome substance abuse and I must say I've come a long way. This isn't my first attemp to seek answers and motivation. I have obtained a councelling certificate however still feel social inaceptable in different circles.  I'm very tallented and have lots of potential to do just about anything I put my mind to, its time to extinguish self defeat!!

 This year is a year is a year of change for me and I will be persuing a career change and that will entail some schooling. I've always been aprehensive about going back to school however its something I know I need to do for myself and my future. I've always done well at my present trade and I have to say it was financially secure however its a change I need to make and I know this in my heart!

  I've experienced a childhood I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. Became rebellious in school and before long was expelled. I was kicked out of my home at the ripe age of 14 and learnt how to survive on my own. I eventually upgraded on my own and stuggled to keep work however was successful in landing very good empoyment throughout my life.

  I'm not proud of my past and find it difficult to share it here in this format, so I'll keep it light. I will say that I do have incredible determination and tenacity to have accomplished the things I have on my own.

  I have two beautiful childeren with different mothers, the oldest is Kurtis at 18 and my daughter is 9 and her name is Naomi. I must say I love them both deeply!!

  The people who now me are amazed with what I overcame in my life. I've obtained a certificate for counselling and have given back in many other ways as well. So here I am facing some challenges and hope to find support and encouragement to accept the new challenges ahead such as retraining/school and embrace it with the same determination that I once used to survive.

   I aim to complete a Buisness and Marketing coarse, I'll always have my previous trade to fall back on however hope to never look back. I want a new life and that requires change and if you don't change everything you won't change at all some say.

  I've never owned my own home and place this on top of the priority list, I've always shared and lost. Its time to do something for myself instead of all the wrong reasons. I hope to develope a support network of friends in this new community I'm living in to share life with and hold me accountable to my dreams as I will for them.

   Changing my career is for both heath reasons, re; back injury, mental and emotional change as well. I'm a people person and love to inspire , encourage and motivate. I seem to be optimistic for others however find it hard to use these gifts for myself at times. This is the year of change!!

  I can only hope to accomplish these new goals, find someone to share life with, and lead a simple but adventurous life. I'm very passionate about having a family of my own, with childeren or not. A new career, Place to call home, and posibly a new relationship when the time is right will certainly be the beginning of my new life!!
