computer question

With the info I have heard about Window Vista I not sure if I want to try Vista, but my computer is acting up it isn't starting up.  I may have to buy a new tower (have a fairly new monitor and keyboard)  Looking into Apples computer?  What ya think?  Vista Or Apple?

For vista you need a way powerful machine... my friend keeps vista only for 1 reason - to play the newest games that use DirectX 10. If you don't know much about computers just use XP... I have no experience on mac so can't advise anything in that. My friends let me use their mac for some time and i find it kinda hard to use. There are too much restrictions.

P.S. if you wanna "try" an operating system very safely without destroying your current one, you can install a virtual machine, for example from www.virtualbox.org

Have fun!
