funny, i read your profile last night and on noting  that you were a bookseller it did cross my mind to drop you a line. then i thought: nah, why bother. he wouldn't be interested in my bookselling! shows how wrong one can be. it will be really interesting to compare notes.

 

i am very excited by your message as this type of "community" is very new to me. unfortunately had just checked in virtually on my way out the door - leaving town for a few days so can't reply to you properly now but will be back in a week. will tell you all about books and sales in a one-horse-town in sunny SOuh Africa! bet you can't wait.

 

i loved your comment about brushing- your- teeth-day. it actually made me realise the importance of the excercise and decide to do it instead of my usual "not bothering". ( that is half the reason i joined "tools")

I joined TOOLS because:
 I know what I need to do to become the person I want to be - but I keep sabotaging myself. I need help to stay motivated.
You are offered your dream job. What job is it?:
 I already have it. I am a retired teacher and now work two days per week in a bookshop. I love my job - I am surrounded by a huge variety of wonderful books ( any of which I can borrow and read) , and work with the nicest people ( both staff and customers)I could ever imagaine. Oh, by the way, I also get paid for being there!
My favorite wild animal is:
 The African elephant
Why (describe as much as possible):
 There is an elegance and dignity in his slow, methodical movements. Although large and heavy, he is never ungainly. When aroused, he exhibits, speed power, anger and strength that terrifies all about him. Yet in his everyday life he is placid and accepting.
You are at a coffee shop. What coffee or tea do you order:
 A cappuchino doppio espresso. Like i used to have in Italy with my son Stephen.
