Gratitude & Motivation

First I want to say thank you.  Some people sent me an email and some commented on my frustration yesterday.  It was not one of my better times, but it is in the past now!

So now I have something funny to share.  Today I worked on the visualization exercise.  I didit during lunch, shutting my office door and reading out loud.  It always feels a little hoaky to me when I do the out loud stuff, but I did it.  I imagined that I was slim and healthy, laughing with lots of energy.  I also did a career visualization where I saw my career moving significantly forward.  So this afternoon, 3 people commented on how I my diet and working out was really paying off and I was looking good!  And then, one of my bosses called and shared that a few administrators were discussing how well my county was doing, and how I was a dedicated worker as well as a good supervisor!  ROFL, you couldn't ask for better instant gratification could you?  And it is really helping me shake off my bad day!  So I need to pass it on...anyone need some encouragement?  I would be happy to cheer you on!

Visualization

Hi MistyW,

Great story, and just shows you the power of visualization. I understand the talking out loud bit but after a couple of more weeks you won't even be thinking about. I find it amusing cause I walk around doing my affirmations, where ever I am, and I have seen people looking side long at me. But I'm smiling all this positive reenforcement is really paying off. So what if your caugh talking out loud about how you deserve money or how you are a slim ,beautiful, and attractive.

Best

Nickg

Way to go! Way to go!

You go girl.

You did it! You did it!

Work that magic sister!  Positive thinking is really key to a happy and successful life.  Woohoo and cheers to you.

You just cheered us all

Misty, What a day, I think you just cheered all of us on!!

I agree with Nick about saying the affirmations out loud.  It will pay off for you one day, when your brain begins to believe what it is hearing you say.

I confess that I don't say my affirmations in public like Nick does.

Thanks for sharing your wonderful day with us!!

Beverly
