Scraps...

bits and pieces...crinkly little messes of information...shoved, stuffed, sort of folded up all over the place...

Harumph...

D...what?

Oh...where did I put the number she just gave me...*sigh*...

(shirt pocket check - nope...left front - nope, right? Nope...jacket? Oh poo...)

Oh for the love of - geeez - here it is, I put it in my wallet (yeah, like that had any more space -  it's a wonder I didn't have to turn that in when I walked through the door here at the DMV (Division of Motor Vehicles for those acronym challenged) - my wallet at the moment is about the size of a small Samsonite carry on - now I know why the caution a guy not to drive with things this size in their back pockets...)

... and the day marches on...

(Jae chuckles to self - basically because at this point the dog doesn't find anything much funny)

It really was a great day...

but this is the thought...why is it that I have this list of all the things that I'm supposed to remember to do...

Then the list of positive things I have to remember to say to myself...

The To Do List

The Complaint List

The Grateful List

The Milestone List

The Friends List

Stuff I'm suppose to get done for work list

Stuff I need to do to keep the State happy

Stuff I need to do to keep the US happy

(Oh Holy Cow! - um - meant in the most respectful way - of course - what if I left someone  in Europe out...*sigh*)

I have all these pieces of paper - with names, numbers, lists, where I went, what I bought, where I have to go...

and the end of the day - I'm dumping my pockets out and wondering where did this all come from...

not to mention the stuff that I missed and it ran through the wash (which I'm sure to find later in some hard wad in the corner of a pocket)

Does anyone else have a life on little scraps of paper, receipts, pages of notebooks - memos on the back of someone else's business card - good grief - I even ran out of space and have those mini postie-notes on TOP of postie notes on the back of some strangers business card...

It's just down right - not right...

I hope you had a great day too...

I can tell I did...

I was at the DMV, the grocery store, the book store, the gas station, the company cafe (Hmmmm got to cut back on the coffee - that was a total of 6 bucks for three cups of jitters...what's that?)

Not to mention the pet store (dog food)...

I'll catch up with you guys tomorrow - I still have to clean the other pockets out...

Hugs

Clutter Club

You are not alone.  I belong to your clutter club.  The goal: "a place for everything and everything in its place".  Just do it.  (LOL) Pat

go Moleskin

I have a lovely small book that lives in my purse - it's called a Moleskin Diary - apparently Hemmingway and others were very fond of these. It has several pages, it is about 3x4 inches, has an elastic band that holds it closed, and a tiny pocket in the back to hold little pieces of paper.  It is a wonderful repository for writings, notes, thoughts, numbers, house inspection info, (I have the info from both of mine in there), etc., etc. I bought mine almost three years ago and am still using it. It is a treasure trove.
