Reconnect with each other

Today the ballots were delivered to the homes in our state.  I spent all morning and into the afternoon doorbelling for my candidate.  It was a cool spring morning.  We quit just before the rain began. 

It's always a pleasant experience to realize we can still go door to door and be greeted with kindness in this crazy world.  People have to stop what they are doing and come to the door to find me there with political information.  They could be negative, but you know what?  They almost always are kind and polite and very friendly.  What a joy.  Sometimes we get caught up in the world view portrayed on the television or other media and think the sky is falling because that's what seems to be reported, but, there are lots of good people out there still trying to make a good life.  That is very encouraging and brings me great hope for our future.  Whatever the economy does, whatever we have to do to develop alternative energy sources, whoever gets elected, we have people virtually next door who are making life better by just being there.  We all just need to remember to walk out the door and reconnect once in a while.  God bless you all for reconnecting over Tools as well.  It's a good feeling!~News
