Hark, the Beautiful Summer Morning Sun is Rising

I posted this on my site today. But I wanted to share with you all here at Tools. A year of writing. a year of growth of which I am thrilled. And now Tools!

Hello Everyone,

A year ago today I put the first words to paper for Beautiful Summer Morning. I am proud of our accomplishments over the first year. We have submitted 300 posts in 15 categories during that time. I have crafted articles I never thought I was capable of writing. I have enjoyed the challenge of putting pen to paper in order to find a way to encourage you, the reader, to find that place in your life, where you can develop a deeper sense of life. I want you to enjoy the beauty and the challenge all about you. I want you to aspire to be more than you think you can be. I want you to treasure the early morning of a summer day as a symbol of all that can be right with life.

Yes we live amid strife and mayhem, and uncertainty. We can choose to wallow in all the injustice about us. Or we can choose to strive for the betterment of all life by improving the quality and richness of our own lives. Lead by example. I am not talking material wealth here, though I have nothing against that, I am talking about a quality, not a thing.

I am talking about a quality that comes early on a summer morning with the sun just breaking above the fresh, green horizon. Where all is potential. Where nothing has yet been decided and you can remake the world in a fresh, exciting image. A place and a moment, where everything is new, reborn. In the soft golden glow of the rising sun, on the pure clear air of a young day, we can all tarry for a while, and build our dreams of golden rays and soft green leaves.

Hark, the summer morning sun is rising. Rise up too. Take the challenge of the day. Make more of it than your limitations allow. Transcend the sky in hope and glory. Let your life burn brightly. Light the world with your passion, your love, your sense of beauty. With that spark you can change the world.

We are about changing the world.

Thank you for the honor of writing words for you.

I look forward to sharing my passion with you in the year to come.

Be the Sun. Shine!

With Love,

Nick Grimshawe

Dedicated

Nick: And Happy Sunrise to You! I like that "let your life burn brightly." To dedicate oneself to writing every single day, and then to share that every single day, and THEN to intend it to uplift and inspire others...is all neat stuff, and not easy. CONGRATS!!! I would like to hear sometime how this has changed and uplifted you, to take on this challenge and dedicate yourself to it. I donno how I feel about "wallowing in injustice." I think if we didn't have people who feel so strongly they devote their entire persona and lives to it, pointing it out, researching, shaking up our complacency and often our selfishness entanglement in me, me, me...we'd all be lights years behind where we are. I need to think about this idea of whether I can light up the world by lighting up my own life. I think I need to do more than that. But...I sure agree it's a BIG start to light up ME first. If I'm not a candle that's burning, I've got no light burning, to share.

In any case, the point of writing is not that readers agree with it, but that it causes them to think. Which your blog has done for me. I hope you celebrated in some way for this wonderful accomplishment.

A Question

Hi Nick, firstly I like to say a big Thank you! for your dedication and prose. Secondly, a question, you mentioned "mayhem and strife" what if this is exactly what is wanted or needed to encourage growth, is it still "Mayhem and Strife" or is it "A Lesson in Love?" Perhaps the birth of Awareness and Consciousness is the purpose to and for all that is. For each individual, the realisation of responsibility leads to Now being  exactly as it should be. Perhaps we can then recognise the beauty and complexity of this miracle we call Life! Once again, thank you and may all your days be an inspiration for you and your world.

Hello Vision Being

Thank you for you comments. I can't express how much they mean to me, and your questions. Before I ask the question I want to ask one of my own. Have you read, "Instinct For Freedom"? Your comment is very similiar to what I have been reading in the book, so I do take your point about Mayhem and Strife could been what someone needs to discover love. In the above book, the author talks alot about Burma and the struggle to find freedom and often talks about the people who have endured prison, and solitary confinement, and how they came out of the experience filled with even more love. Yes the Mayhem and strife can be a crucible that creates awareness and Consiousness.

I was thinking more about finding that inner solitude, that place that transcends all the clamor and distractions of our world; the place where we can sit and confront our "self"  and find a harmony and peace to hold within us.

I find your statement, "realization of responsibility",  interesting. The realization that I am responsible for my condition, when that really trickles down throught the consiousness, then yes, a whole epiphany of awareness takes place  bring one to a fuller sense of beauty.

I like the way you think.

Hello Wordbird

Thanks for your comments. And as you can see from Vision Being, that I received some really fantastic responses to the blog. We have to start some place. If we shine we can create the spark that will enourage other to shine. As they say in Intenet Marketing, its Viral. I agree there is so much to be done. Be that need can be overwhelming to some. Start small, a smile, a thank you, a kind deed. I think of Gandhi, one village at a time, up and down the length of India.

I am about changing the world, one step at a time.

Thanks for your comments. They mean a lot to me.
