I've given my bump the hump!

I wanted to blog about "The Bump" on the day Coach Steele brought it up, though I also wanted to share my joy about the interview at work and the speaking event!

Firstly, is Coach Steel psychic?!! Laughing

The VERY day he spoke about the bump, I had seriously considered hitting the snooze button and going back to bed because I felt SOOOO tired! But that's only because I'm not yet into my evening routine with the same discipline as my morning one. And I LOVE my morning routine now!

The re-programming of my brain is obviously working because I didn't hit snooze, and carried on as I have done every morning for the last 21 days or so. To then see, hear and read about The Bump just blew me away!

I struggled with myself again yesterday (Saturday) morning, though this morning it was out and up with no difficulty. Then again, I did go to bed two hours earlier than normal last night.

As a result, I have now programmed my evening routine into an interval timer on my mobile/cell phone, as I've found that incredibly helpful with my morning routine. I just start the timer running, and it buzzes when it's time to move onto the next part of my routine. Removing the chance for me to make decisions about what/how/when I do things in the morning has been a big part of my success in sticking to TOOLS!

If you've got the feature on your phone, try it out! Let me know in the comments if it works for you too!

Peace

P.

Interesting...

You and I seem to have a similar style! I use my outlook calendar to give me reminders in the morning, or my blackberry when I'm away from home. I've also really struggled with my evening routine. I use my oven timer sometimes when I'm in the living room or dining room (for instance, when I commit to studying hard for an hour and then taking a break). Setting an alarm for when I need start the bedtime routine is a great idea for building routine.
