When is an excuse not an excuse?

Hello friends! Smile

It is one whole week since I blogged, and I'm tempted to make excuses, but that won't rub with you, will it?!

It does raise a question for me though...

I get up at 4:45am every morning and have a routine that includes meditation, exercise, affirmations, TOOLS checklist, TOOLS ToolBox (incl. blogging), finances, working on my new business and getting breakfast for my partner.

The last few days I have struggled to complete TOOLS in the 45mins I have allocated to it, mainly because of the thinking time going into the exercises. I don't want to rush through it because I know that the reflection that goes on during this time is one of the most important aspects of TOOLS.

So, my buzzer goes at the end of 45 mins and I've not got to my blog.

Is that an excuse?

Reflecting on it now, I guess what I could do, to maintain the momentum, is just make a quick post and say what's what! That way, we're keeping in contact, and that's really important to me.

Please hold me accountable! Smile

Create a sparkling day!

Excuse or an opportunity?

Good morning!

I ran into the same issue with time in the morning, so now choose to do tools in the evening and the checklist in the evening is what I use all day the following day.

I really wanted the time to do tools thoroughly - I have not one time hit the button to come back later.....I do it all the way through each day no matter what.  For me, the truth is, I have more time in the evening......and realistically, I spend on averge, 1 hour on the tools and then time to blog and read and respond to others as I feel led......

So my question back to you is this......have you taken a hard look at what time you need to do tools realistically?  Is 45 minutes enough?  If the answer is yes.....well maybe it is an excuse.  If you are rushing.....I think this is an opportunity to reevaluate your schedule or simply reprioritize tasks in your morning.....

I don't see identifying what is not working as an excuse......sounds to me like you need to tweak a bit......if your don't press into this and figure it out...well that would be different.....From what I have read when you do blog...I don't see you as someone who is a perpetual excuser.....I'm sure you will get this figured out in a way that works for you.

Enjoy our day!

YEAH YEAH YEAH

I missed you  around here!

I thought blogging had to be long, but I have lately juswt have had not much to say. I am dong well and I am happy. As long as we know that, don't feel yu  have to write a novel. Your blog today was short and to the point. That is ok....let's us all know you are still doing TOOLS.  I also don't feel obligated to blog every single day.........some days I may skip and just read and comment.  Don't feel any presure or make any excuses...you are right.....we won't hear it.  You are about to g on to a really great part in TOOLS........fasten your seat belt.........ENJOY THE RIDE!

I am here and I missed you...........

You can do it, keep going! You can do it, I KNOW YOU CAN!!!!!keep going!

Glad to see you back

I agree with Bda - maybe you just need to tweak some things, to give yourself more time.

I also agree moonshadow, you don't have to write a novel everyday, however just a couple of words everyday or almost everyday is more thatn enough, to let your friends know you are still out there pursuing this wonderful journey called TOOLS , how appropiate that name is.

Again welcome back, you are missed when we don't see you out there.

Excuses Excuses..

You know, even though you were gone for a week, you came back. That is what matters. You didn't forget about TOOLS and changing your life. So give yourself that much! I understand how you feel about excuses; that is something I get called out for EVERY single day. Your question made me think ... Who really knows when something is or isn't an excuse? I think the only person who knows for a fact, is ourselves. We know when we are trying to cover up something with an excuse, and others can usually tell. But you were not making an excuse. You realized that you just need more time to complete your morning rituals! That is all. It is good to have you back! Wink

Peace and Love.

Crystal

I've been doing TOOLS...

Just not blogging! Wink

It's so cool to be amongst such great people! Thanks for your friendship and support!
