Hey- just thought I'd say- help with the married side of life: imagine if it was gone. Sometimes we have to lose what we have to appreciate it. I am reminded of a Native American Indian saying "Today is a good day to die" Every moment is precious. The other really helpful thing for me: try to see your loved ones with new eyes every day. We can take people for granted sometimes and just don't really see them or pay attention to them anymore. Ah, but I'm sure you know all this already! Have a GREAT day!!

buisness plans are on hold still. Economy has caused a bump in the financial end of things. I am returning to school and will have a EMT - B license and a degree in clinical psych in about a year and a half. The buisness will require time that is needed for family at this stage but the equipment will be tested again this year at high water in may and june by a friend of mine. looks like I will test the smaller rescue boats again in May. The last test lead me to believe that there wer some modificatios to the boats that needed to be done. They took on a lot of water and we could not drain them fast enough resulting in the dangerious situation of a heavy hard to manuver boat at the top of the next rapid. Dispite the drainage problem I was able to push through a house size pour-over withought capsizing. So to sum up the equipment is holding up and being improved but I need more time with my family and school. I will be attending school this sumer so trips are out unless I can find someone qualified and willing to help with the work load. Thank you for your intrest and I hope that things are going well. Bart.

I am 34, and have a great family. I love my life. I have a great job working for local artists as a mold maker and production specialist. With the down turn in the economy most people dont have the money for fine art and I have seen a huge drop in buisness. I am trying to keep my head above water and am planing to go back to school, although I don't know what for. I hope to start a non profit buisness for returnig serviceman and wemen and their familys, with emphasis on disabled vets, in which I can use my experience as a river guide and the equipment I have collected. Over the last 9 years I have built a J-rig "a 22 ft pontoon boat capible of running class five big water rivers like grand canyon and cataract canyon"unlike any other and have tested it 5 times through cataract canyon. In 2006 I hit peak runnoff in cataract and ran close to 80,000 cfs, and the boat performed excelent. I took a friend of mine with cancer down at 40,000 cfs and again the boat did great. I have over $40,000 dollars worth of equipment that I have collected in order to start the buisness but in 2007 I had a little girl and time and money were redirected. I hope to start up with plans again, but am now at the buisness end of the task: insurance, license, funding, etc. the last part of this plan is a huge wall, oops "opertunity". I thought tools might help with meeting this goal .

I joined TOOLS because:
I'D LIKE TO GAIN MORE SATISFACTION IN THE MARRIED WITH CHILDREN SIDE OF LIFE, NOT THAT ITS BAD, BUT IT IS A BIT DIFFRENT THAN BEING A CANYONLANDS RIVER GUIDE AND RUNNING SOLO 4 DAY TRIPS EVERY WEEK FOR OVER 9 YEARS.
You are offered your dream job. What job is it?:
I AM LOOKING TO START A NON PROFIT RIVER SERVICE, FOR RETURNING AND RETIRED SERVICEMEN AND WOMAN AND THEIR FAMILIES. I WOULD LIKE TO FOCUS ON AMPUTIES.
My favorite wild animal is:
 BOB CAT.
Why (describe as much as possible):
CUTE CUDDLY ELUSIVE AND DANGERIOUS. NOT THAT THIS IS HOW I SEE MYSELF BUT RATHER IT HAS ALWAYS SEEMED TO BE A TREAT TO SEE THEM, WHAT FEW TIMES I HAVE.
My favorite domestic animal is (if you choose dog be specific with breed etc):
DOG, I JUST PUT MY LAB TO SLEEP AFTER 16 YEARS AND COUNTLESS RIVER TRIPS TOGETHER
Why:
JUST AS I SAID HE WAS A GOOD FRIED AT TIMES I THOUGHT THAT THERE WERE NONE.
A famous Chef will prepare anything you want. What do you order:
 A NICE STEAK
Why:
 JUST LIKE A GOOD STEAK
Five people either dead or alive you would have at your fantasy dinner party::
MY BROTHER, BERT LOPER, BUZZ HOLSTROM, NAT GALLOWAY, ROBERT STANTON
Why:
 RIVER STORIES NEVER GET OLD.
If a pilot would fly you anywhere you want, you would go to:
FROM THE TOP TO THE BOTTOM OF THE GRAND CANYON. SMALL PLANE OF COURSE.
My perfect slice of pizza is:
 THIN.
You are at a bar. You order this drink:
BEER WHAT EVER IS ON TAP.
You are at a coffee shop. What coffee or tea do you order:
 COFFEE REGULAR.
If a genie could grant you three wishes they would be (separate by commas):
ENOUGH MONEY TO PROVIDE: MY DAUGHTER WITH A GOOD EDUCATION, MY WIFE AND I WITH A GOOD EARLY RETIREMENT, AND FOR ALL OF US TO DO A FANTASTIC TRIP TO A DIFFRENT PART OF THE WORLD EVERY YEAR.
You are going on a long road trip and you can only bring three CD's. Which ones do you bring (separate by commas):
"QUEENSRICH"? operation mind crime, AND MY DAUGHTERS CD WITH ALL THE CHILDREN SONGS THAT SHE LOVES SO MUCH, AND WHAT EVER MY WIFE WANTS.
If I could do anything for my neighborhood today, it would be:
GET THE CITY TO PUT SPEED HUMPS IN FOR ALL THE DRAG RACING PUNKS, EVEN THOUGH I USED TO LOVE BEING ONE OF THEM.
A sunset I remember:
WOULD BE MY HONNEY MOON IN HAWAII
Any character I could be from a movie, TV show or book would be:
BUZZ HOLSTROM "THE DOING OF THE THING", BUT WITH A HAPPIER ENDING.
Why:
I CAN REALLY RELATE TO THE LOVE HE HAD FOR THE ADVENTURE AND THE LACK OF CONCERN FOR WHAT OTHERS THOUGHT OR DID TO DISTRACT HIM FROM REACHING HIS GOALS.
