Get it

Finally, I’m able to collect myself and post a blog. About three months ago I put in 3 goals to complete of which one was to “Get in Shape.” Yesterday, I completed my first ½ Marathon (13.1miles) and feel compelled to tell everyone. I’ve long known that goal setting and achieving that goal can be very powerful. But I really had not known until yesterday. What I have not told people about is the emotional outburst I had when I finished. In that moment, I was overcome with tremendous emotions which I never felt all at the same time, happiness, sadness, pain, anger, all present. Of course only I know about the dirt that flew in my eye at the finish. I finished in 2hrs 30minutes and so I now will set a new goal for my next race. But until then, I will celebrate my one victory for a little longer and hope to inspire more people.  Smile
