Day 34 of 221, actually day 3

I just wanted to wish everyone a good day.  Since my hiatus of slacking off, I have been doing tools consistently, and I am seeing results in my thinking and abilities to move forward.  I'm on the goal setting phase, and I am losing 75# this year....no trying to lose it, I AM losing it.  I am motivated to and focused, and have faith that I will lose the weight & meet my goals, one day at a time.  Thanks Oliver & Douglas for your words of encouragement when I jumped back into my program.  It helped me a lot.

You can do it, but be careful

I know you can lose the weight if you set your mind to it.  Just remember, losing weight too quickly can be unhealthy.  75 lbs is over a pound a week.  Too lose one pound per week the average person will either need to consume 500 less calories per day or burn 500 more calories (or a combination of both).

I know a year sounds like a long time, but when trying to lose a lot of weight it is not.  I'm sure you'll eventually reach your goal, but don't try to shoehorn it into some arbitrary time frame.  If you lose 38 lbs per year over the next two years you'll still have accomplished your goal and put much less stress on your body.

Stick to your plans and let us know how things are progressing.
