"Pitches are bitches..."

...is a well known advertising phrase. Spent all day yesterday till 2:30 this morning in front of an agency's computer working on a pitch for a food product. Not an uncommon occurrence in this line of work. In the end the work looked good and the guys are off to present while I'm winding down writing this.

Decided to grab a few hours sleep over at the apartment/office across town and wouldn't you know it - I get settled there and the smoke alarm decided to run out of power. The rest of the night was punctuated with loud "peeps" just as I was about to drift off and I didn't have any new replacement batteries and even then didn't have the energy to get up and change it.

As a result I never did get any sleep and now I have a full day's work ahead of me. Strangely though, I feel fine...!
