The Camberwell Chainsaw Massacre (almost)..

Spent the weekend reconnecting with the garden, trimming some of the next door neighbour's tree as one of ours wasn't receiving enough light. Had a chainsaw at the ready but the thing wouldn't start, which was a bit of a blessing - I didn't fancy climbing a wobbly ladder as more limbs than expected may have been lost.

So the only solution was to cut manually. Of course being the handymen we are (not), our saws were blunt and practically useless, so fortunately the neighbour came to the rescue with his brand new pruning saw. So up I climbed, not realising till I was up there the tree was full of bees feeding on nectar.

The boughs cut like butter, and we gently guided them down so as not to destroy the fence. And not one sting, which was surprising. And our tree now has the light it desperately needed.
