Summer's arrived.

 

After a temperate summer so far I'm in a bit of a mad rush to complete everything this morning as the afternoon temps are expected to reach 37C (106), with 39C tomorrow. We have had over 44C but that usually happens later in the month. 

 

Melbourne has a dry heat fortunately (as opposed to having humidity as well), but even then walking outside is like opening an oven door. I have to remember to blink more often as my contact lenses tend to dry up.

 

A major problem around this time is the inevitability of bushfires. As the weather's been cooler the fire season has been delayed, but with the odd lightning strike or pyromaniac it could soon be all on.
