Running Away

Running away is my favourite game. I run from everything. I run from happiness, I run from fear and mostly I run away from responsibility. I've always known it, but this weekend I fully realised the implications of these actions. I'ts strange how I've been striving for balance, but at the same time I was running from it. After all if a achieved it, then where would it leave me? I would have to be happy with myself and I would have to be proud of myself.

All these years I've never really allowed myself to be proud of myself, despite the things (whether how small) that I have achieved.

I also realised another thing, that I don't enjoy living. I constantly have negative thoughts and I never allow myself to truly enjoy myself and relax. Living is supposed to be fun and adventurous, every day has a new challenge to offer and enjoying it is all part of being happy. Why should having a flat tyre, or making dinner and burning it be stressfull if you can learn something new from the experience?

Life is full of blessings and that's what Tools has taught me up to now. I am truly grateful.

Good for You!

If you can have that one figured out at twenty-three, you're way ahead of most people. A flat tire, a burnt dinner....no problem, life's good! Be happy!

I agree! I agree!

Time for positivity

Negative thinking always drags you down , and sometimes difficult to overcome, you are going in the right direction.

Soon on Tools you will be composing your own motivational tales and these will certainly help.

Way to go! Way to go!

Run, Run, Runaway.....

Seriously - running 'from' fear or out of fear? It's conveniently easy to escape - it takes true courage to stick with it. Be courageous. Force yourself to be the super glue :-). Oh, and as for those negative thoughts - Coach says to ask yourself if they are "true" or "false" - and remember - any negative thought is of your own creation....well, it is just false.

Hang in there!Innocent

running is allowed

in fact it's good for you...

you can still run just change what you are running from...

for example...

run from junk food

negative people

a bad work environment

horror movies (personal opinion inserted)

triple decker banana split

cold weather

second hand smoke

and foods that give you gas

i think you get my point

people who take credit for all your hard work.

liars etc...

you get my point

just don't run from the things that make you feel good... you should run to those things.

Transparency

Laying it out like that in a honest way can only empower you.  The nice thing about TTL is that you can learn some ways to not fall back into the same pattern.  Realization is a fantastic step there is more to come.
