Day 9 - This isn't a Hockey Game, is it?

I love this Goal thing. I've been a goal setter for a long time, but procrastination has been creeping in. For example, a few months back, I set a goal to help my kids learn how to set goals. I talked with them about it... did the "gathering information" phase of planning by reading stuff on the Internet about setting goals for kids.... talked to them about it... did some half assed goal things that they were already working on, but I've never come through on it. But it occurred to me that I was probably operating too big for them. I'd planned on helping them set a 6 month goal and breaking it down into simple steps... it never materialized. But I think I can demonstrate goal setting in more simple terms just by having them help me plan on taking them to the movies (or something that we do in a single day) and then once they get the idea, we can shift to doing goals that take a week... and a month. But I'd like to sort out how I can set some goals that also show the Law of Accumulation. That is a great Law!! Although I've done goal setting for many of the things that I'm successful at, I've never really framed in such a way. Anyway... I should probably do this thing with the kids as well as refocus on working on myself. I've noticed that I tend to "fill up" my life with things that I can do well or easily set goals and improve something... but those hard things (like, you know - emotional stuff?) its a little dicier. I need to set some goals for practicing that thing.. I have a tool or two specifically designed to exercise that part of me, but I've not done so all that much. I'm going to do that. Thanks for reading, Shane13
