Day 12 - Complaining

I've never thought of myself as much of a complainer.  But I suppose I do have my moments.  My most overriding complaint of late has been about my marriage.  However, I'm encouraged to note that its not so much a complaint if I'm doing something about it.  The wife and I are going to counseling and learning about ourselves and each other, so we're taking action.  This wasn't easy to admit, but we did and we're growing closer for it.  I'm very happy that we are because I don't want to exercise self-control by having to walk away from something that I can't change.

I can't change her, but I can change myself.  And part of that was to say that if we can't work through this together (not just me working on me) then I'll have to walk away.  I'm very encouraged that she's seen this as an option in my life and has been working with me to resolve our issues.

I have a tendency to refocus this blog on something else thats less vulnerable and more "fluffy" to type about, but I'm listening to the Little Voice who said "let this be what it is and don't try to look away... stay focused". Soo...

Thanks for reading,
