Happily married to a great, supportive  wife for 5 years.  We are expecting our 1st child in December, which is awesome. 

I have been in constrcution/environmental  management for 12 years.  High stress, long hours, & plenty of other people's problems to solve.  Anyhow, its been beating me down the last few years. 

Its become a simple exchange of my time for money.  As a result, I have a zero balance in the motivation account and a zero balance in the satisfaction account.  

I haven't decided exactly what to do but I need to do something.  I don't want my wife and child to have to live with a guy who is bitter and unfulfilled.  They deserve so much more.  The laziness of my youth (career-wise) has come home to roost.

Friends, family, and that sort of thing is pretty great.  I don't have as much time as I would like to spend with them. 

Athlete, graduated college, found job, liked job for awhile, raced motorcycles, worked, didn't make much/didn't save much. 

Plodded along year after year doing the same things over and over, making the same mistakes over and over.

Put alot of time and effort into work only to come to the realization that my current field is not where I want to be. 

My fault, I never took the time to figure out what I wanted.  I took the first decent paying career type position I ran across.
