I am a person who loves learning, however I am not progressing the way that I would like to progress. (A source of continued disappointment in myself and in my life) 

The things I enjoy most in life are learning about other cultures, reading, traveling, finding evidence of compassion and goodness in the world, almost anything involving music, dancing, and fresh/good/healthy foods. 

The things I least enjoy about life are: signs of hatefulness and cruelty in humans, disappointment, lack of consideration for others (including future generations), my own NUMEROUS shortcomings, injustice, ignorance and lack of progress.  

I grew up in a military family.  I had a good childhood, and had the opportunity to travel around the country and the globe.  This instilled  a deep love for other cultures and travel, which exists at the core of my being to this day! 

I have had some hard times which I am still working to overcome and deal with effectively.  I lost my mother a few years ago.  I have had some issues with my father and also with pursuing my education.  I quit a prestigious and promising full-time job to return to school, but I  fell short of my expectations and created financial difficulties for myself, in the process. The failures have been very disappointing and despite my efforts, I find myself making very little forward progress towards my life-long goals.  

I am currently in a definite state of stagnation, and I am desperately trying to resolve my issues and make a feasible action plan, so that I can move forward and take advantage of my potential. 

I would like to achieve my academic goals. 

I would like to find a satisfying and reasonably well-paying job/career field.

I would like to travel the world (maybe work abroad).

I hope to purchase a home of my own (hopefully one with a fenced yard).

I would like to continue to positively grow and develop spiritually and emotionally.

I want to continue learning, seeking broader knowledge, and understanding.  

I would like to make some positive changes in the world, even if they are small.

I want to stay grounded and humble, no matter what happens in my future.  

I hope to have a family of my own one day.
