2/3 of the way!

Hi - I'm 2/3's of my way through tools, and I have to say my attitude is forever changing for the better. I no longer feel stuck in an emotional rut of self induced misery. I'm nicer to people, and although they have probably always been nice to me, I am now open to receiving thier positive emotions, and can enjoy what they have to offer. Greetings and pleasantries are exchanged with sincerity, rather than just speaking words and making conversation. I find I am open to listening to others (strangers), where as before all I could think was - Why do you think I care??? Why are you telling me this???? Go Away!!!! I felt like they were putting their burdens onto me, now I know I have the power to help lessen their load if I just take a moment and listen while they vent. (I work at a front desk in an office and the conversation someone starts may have nothing to do with why they are at our business, and everything to do with the burdens of their individual life, up until now I have been very uncomfortable with getting into a personal conversation with a 'customer'). It's hard when I disagree with their line of thinking or have learned a better way which they are not ready to hear. But all they need is someone to listen - and they are telling a stranger. Isn't is a shame that we don't have people close to us who will listen to us (or who we feel we can talk to) - I know I don't, must be why we turn to strangers ...........

GOOD POINT...

That is a good achievement.  Thanks for sharing such thought.  A sincere smile is a good starting point.  The rest would just automatically follow.  Enjoy your journey and keep on doing it ... and being aware of what is around.  Have a great day!

Cheers,

Autumn MistKiss

I hear you I hear you, I have huge ears.

Changes

I see that you are letting the tools sink in pretty deep.  It is good that you are starting to make changes, even if they are a little at a time.  I have been here for 2 wks and I notice a small difference to and I am working towards success.
