Honestly, maybe I am depressed a bit
when its grey outside for too long...
I dont really remember being depressed
on Holidays particuarly, maybe I am....
I'll watch for it!
But I have had bouts of
depression from events or
long term situations that
are difficult to bear.
Depression can be such a drag!
Nothing is interesting, not much
desire to eat, and sleep can be
elusive and not very restful.
Depression can be a learned response,
I believe I learned a lot of depression
states and manipulations of my
surroundings and people around me
from my Mother, I'm afraid to say.
I am for the most part though, a happy go
lucky kinda guy. I've been told that even
when I'm down about a situation that
I have a glow in my eyes, a happiness
all the time.
I love people. I have a heart of
compassion and understanding that
enables me to be patient and helpful,
and Im Thankful for that. I always try to
build forward in every situation, or
friendship, rejecting negative feelings,
and being upbeat.
I love that life means I can do things
I enjoy like my music, art, and enjoying
my friends, and working on the
computer.
I love entertaining live in a band.
Playing music with a bunch of other
people is exhilarating and transports
me to another "plane" which gives me
a "fix" that is now impossible to live
without.
I love Excellence.....striving for quality
in what you're practicing or a hobby.
I cry when I see performance and talent
excellence. I get so choked up!
Doing your best and accepting the many
"mistakes" that are inevitable isn't
perfectionism at all....it's the "no excuses"
way of getting the Best out of yourself.
Besides, if one loves something like
music, why would they want to treat it
in a half hearted, low quality kind of
"accept what you get" way?
I love "practicing" something! I realized
early in my childhood that if i did something
a little every day, I would get better at it,
and it would reward me forever. From
playing a musical instrument to drawing
with pastels or pencils, to learning a language......
I love deciding to get into
something, get a ton of books, talk to
others who have gone before me that
are good at what they do....and forego
wasting time and practice from 2 to 8
hours a day for years. More on this
subject in a later blog since it's so huge
for me~
I love my brother Nick.
I Love coming to Tools every morning
really early when I first awake.
I love the real burst of sincerity in
Boosting your fellow freind here, and
starting the day with "pats" on the back
from my freinds here at Tools!
I love pets, animals are the Best!
We truly are stewards of this great
planet and it's inhabitants. I loved my
Amos and Molly SO MUCH. I love my
girlfriends dog Odie tons also! She's
so much fun.
I love peoples faces. I do. Its like the
out cropping of artistic talent thats in me.
I see a certain face or sunset, or
mountain range or coastline, and I
"swoon" with love of beauty! I have to
draw, I have to express, I have to
channel what's in me.
I love Women. The beauty,...every square
inch! The other half to men, the nurturing,
smart, helpmates to all us (brutes) men!
If it weren't for women, there wouldn't
be art or poetry or beautiful music.
Men wouldn't strive quite the same way,
I'm convinced! From Mother's love to a
lifetime of passion with a Soulmate,
there's nothing like a woman you think
is beautiful to bring out the higher forms
of Manhood ~!
I Love a pleased customer. There's
nothing like performing my trade
in someone's world, and watching
them be so happy with their
surroundings! It makes me happy
and its worth so much more than
the pay.
I Love Good Friendships.
I Love warm chocolate chip cookies,
warm bread, red bouganvillia flowers,
painful Blues solos and butter,
7 Star Metaxa and a good bouzouki
lament, I Love big paychecks and
paying off debts, I Love dancing to
Greek music for hours,
especially the zemekiko! OPA!
I Love coffee, cold
water and great beer.
I Love Music, especially music that
transports me to such high and
wonderful places that I can immerse
myself in it for days.
I Love good communication,
good conversation.
I love an artists studio, a sanctuary
that allows creation. All the smells and
the sights that blend together to
allow the artist to allow art to flow from
his inward parts.
I love getting another chance, being
forgiven, realizing my limitations and
allowing myself humanity, the priviledge
to be wrong, or weak, or fallible, and
learn as I go. It's OK and I accept it
gladly.
Every second is another chance at
a lesson learned, a small adjustment,
a chance to give and a chance to get.
I Love Love !
