OK ... FINE ! Spring It On Me NOW, huh?

 Well ... FINE!

So, now I'm on Day 16. So far, especially since I returned to it with committment and dedication, Tools has been great! Things are changing all around me, and I love it!

Well ... now we get to Day 16, and I'm disillusioned.

WHAT? You want me to QUIT SMOKING?

Yeah ... I knew we'd get to it sooner or later ... but TODAY?

Can't we do that one tomorrow?

All right ... I jest. I've made the committment. Not only did I throw out the cigs ... I broke them just in case ... LOL.

This really isn't such a bad thing ... It's not that difficult. I've done it a hundred times.

So. No smoking. Fine.

Not THAT difficult.

Just do me one favor ...

... tell me Chapter 17 isn't gonna go after my heroin!

Funny!

Quitting smoking is difficult unless you make the decision that you really want to do it.  A new habit cannot be formed without an emotional committment behind it.  Make the effort and DECIDE...repeat your decision each and every day and after five days of withdrawal, you will truly have quit.  I believe in you.

Chantix...ever hear of it?

I was talking with a woman the other day who started taking Chantix to quit smoking. She has emphasymea and has been trying to quit for ten years. She said that this was the only thing that ever worked for her. I guess it's sort of new...maybe you could ask your doctor about it?

Reinforcing YOUR wonderful decision.

Haha You  are so funny! I get such a kick out of your blogs.

Oldangelsue is right. It has to be YOUR decision and something you REALLY WANT and DESIRE to change. If your heart and mind is not truly in it you can NOT trick or lie well enough to stay stopped.

I am a certified hypnotherapist and when I tell clients not to come to me to show them how to use hypnosis to stop smoking until they REALLY want to stop because even in hypnosis it isn't brainwashing. I can NOT make someone do ANYTHING against their WILL. No one can. I know some people WISH I could because it would be easier haha.

Oldangelsue gave you good advice. Also keep this in mind... You are NOT QUITTING smoking because subconsciously we all have been raised that being a QUITTER is a negative thing! I know it sounds nitpicky but our subconscious minds make funny connections sometimes. So you are choosing to stop smoking or to be a CLEAN FRESH AIR BREATHER.

Also think of this.... think of how many cigarettes or whatever you smoke a day and divide that up among 24 hours. Then consider how many hours and minutes of your day and night that you WERE smoking and how many you were living as a CLEAN FRESH AIR BREATHER anyway? I bet you that you are MUCH MORE of a FRESH CLEAN AIR BREATHER far more than you were EVER smoking! All you need to do is INCREASE that amount of time you are CHOOSING FREELY to be a CLEAN FRESH AIR BREATHER 24 hours a day and night. Something you were naturally already good at and did more minutes and hours of the day than not anyway. See?!

Also figure out how much money you will save in a day, a week then a month and then a year. Average how much money you had burned up in smoke over the years you had chosen to smoke and think of what you could buy or do for YOURSELF that you would really want or need and DESERVE. Wouldn't you LOVE to have that money NOW? Your future starts NOW with the choices you make now.

I could go on... but it sounds like you have already made up your mind so I just wanted to offer you extra support for reinforcements. I am so impressed and proud of you.

You did it! You did it!

Ya, Steve

Smoking isn't healthy anyways, When you look at it your going to be better at promoting health. What a great Opportunity you have set for yourself. I am so happy for you. YA!!!!!Laughing

Thanks Muchos ... Hack Hack .. LOL

Thanks all you guys ..still going strong today ....

Actually, I don't think I'll have too much problem.  When I decide to do something ... it's pretty much done ... especially after making a public committment.

That's a great way to box myself into a corner !

hahaha.

Thanks again, all!
