Personal Interests:
Music:
I Sang Rock and Roll for years during the 70's 80's "Hollywood Scene" ... Played gigs with Van Halen, Quiet Riot, etc. We were all "Local Guys" then. So ... Rock is the thing. Like the new Alt stuff a lot. Faves:, BONNIE BRAMLETT, !!! (You're listening to "The Queen of Blue-Eyed Soul" right now), Delaney and Bonnie, (Bonnie's band with her Ex), Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Sonic Youth, Aretha Franklin, Wilson Pickett, Mavis Staples, Alanis Morisette, David Bowie, Ian Hunter, Mott The Hoople, Marc Bolan, T-Rex, ... AND, Randy Rhoades, of course. Shall I go on?
Books:
Ulysses, by, James Joyce. Why? Is there another book? ... Oh, ok ... if I must ..., "Awakening The Buddha Within", by, Lama Surya Das, and, "The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying", by, Sogyal Rinpoche, Also, "Bleak House", by Dickens is the funniest damn thing ever written.
Favorite Places:
I Want To See:
Hobbies:
Activities:
theatre, directing, acting, writing, singing, meditation, (with the 5 Tibetan monks who live near me ... is that kewl or what?)
Sports:
Movies:
I was an actor for 40 years, so anything with great acting: Any, Ingmar Bergman, (RIP), Angels In America, (Greatest American Play of the 20th Century), Lawrence of Arabia, Spartacus, The Quiet Man, (Sappy, huh?), Dog Day Afternoon, The Godfather, (2 is actually BETTER than 1), The Other, (only because it's one of Uta Hagen's two movies), and anything with, The Marx Brothers, especially, Duck Soup, ... then, the FUN stuff: Anything by, David Cronenberg, ... LOVE, Scanners, and, A History of Violence, to name just two, Suspiria, (Love Dario Argento), Army of Darkness, (Raimi is a crackup & Bruce Campbell is a hoot), ALL the Corman/Vincent Price movies, especially, Pit and the Pendulum, AND the great, Masque of the Red Death, ... it ain't Poe, but then nothing is. IDK ... I'll die before I list all so I'm gonna quit while I'm ahead ... probably add onto this list.
TV:
I don't have TV. No aerial reception here in Big Bear. I hate the cable. Have a satellite system, but haven't had it hooked up in more than a year. I have a great wide-screen digital sound theatre system ... and all I watch are dvd's.
Heroes:
James Connoly, Thomas More, Judy and Dennis Shepard, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Peter O'Toole, (For being both Irish and dessicated for soooo long), and, Randy Rhoades, (miss you, Bud).

Big Bump
Don't feel alone. I'm in a big bump myself. I hit mine late in the next to last week. I have managed to log in each day, so I am finishing up, but ...
I think sometimes we hit the bumps when something in Tools either just doesn't hit our buttons, or hits them too hard. In my case it was the missed button.
Welcome back.

Bumpy
I hit a bump a while back. I was unable to log on to TOOLS and it was not my choice. I felt myself getting depressed but I realized that this is not the end. So now I log on at work whenever I can. When you hit a bump you just have to keep moving. You may move slower but hey......each step counts.
LIFE IS NOT LIFE WITHOUT ITS BUMP!
Hi there Steve,
Indeed! Bumps (big or small) are but one component of life. Without it, we just plainly exist, don't we? And everyone is just about vulnerable to it. It's inevitable. It's part of garnishing, a flavourite. Ironically, life is full of it. It's just a matter of how we deal with it... and with positivity, tackle it! Hey, the humble toolbox is yours to keep. Rekindle your affair with it. Ride on and enjoy the bumps! You're in control. Have a great day!
Cheers,
Autumn Mist
