I want to "see"

Does anyone want to share how they do visualization? Please add your ideas here so I can try them.

says: I bought a program called 'mind movies'.(Available on the net) It is possible to load your own pictures or use ones from the internet that represent the vision you're trying to create. The pictures are then all put together, interspersed with affirmations that you type in and put together with music like a little movie. It took me a week to put mine together. It is supposed to take an afternoon. I wanted to use all the special effects. I love it. They say what the mind can percieve, it can achieve. I watch mine every morning and have about 90 percent of it come true, so far. merrily

says: When I do visualization I like to use all my senses...sight, sound, taste, smell, touch. I also like to visualize in terms of colours, textures, tempreture, motion, speed, size, space, distance, quantity and quality. I find that the more details like this I can visualize, the better. But the biggest thing I find, is feeling and emotion. The higher the feeling, the stronger and more potent my visualization results. You may want to try including some of these elements in your visualisations. Drop me a line to let me know how you get on. Peace Aartisans

says: Boosting here. Keep up the good work!

says: Visualizing something over and over again of not only what you want, but visualize as you already have it. Feel it, smell it, taste it, see it, hear it. Imagine what you could do with it and then make it your own. Just have some quiet time without interruptions and keep practicing until you can see every detail in your mind. This will bring your confidence up and you can work towards this bringing it to fruition. Believe it and it will come!

says: For me music helps a lot.  I just put on some relaxing nature sounds or classical, something to set the mood for my mind to focus.  It also helps block outside noise that can get quite distracting otherwise.

Sunrose,

What I tend to do is "embody" so I'll see what I want to be happening AND I make sure I'm feeling like what I would feel like if that were happening.  That's a really big part, having the feeling as if you have it now.

I've made up dialogue about what I would say and other people would say and even though those exact words weren't spoken, it helped make the feeling state I was wanting to get at.

Hope this helped a bit.

best,
