My grandmother was a woman who went to college back in the day when women in the US didnt get to go to college.  She had a music degree.  She played the violin.  She married my grandfather against the wishes of her parents and had 7 children.  My father was the youngest.  She died shortly after his birth.  My grandfather never got over her and did what is so uncommon today... He tried to keep his 7 children together as best he could.  He never remarried because of his love for her. 

I received my grandmothers violin.  My father was so happy.  I could play it so very little by ear.  I wish I had taken lessons and learned to play before my father passed on.  I still would like to learn to play.  Need to save some money for it for the future... time is passing by.  Thanks for sharing!
